Frida Luna

Frida Luna is a senior in the BFA program. She mainly focuses on drawings and illustrations but is open to making new work. She mainly focuses on creating narratives. During this pandemic, a family member of hers fell ill with Covid-19, Frida spent her time away from her family members, quarantined. During this time, Frida painted 5 mini illustrations with limited supplies. She treated these illustrations as a mini diary through quarantine. Of how the loneliness in being in a house for long periods of time to heartbreaking moments with her family. Each panel tells a certain part of the days that happened in quarantine. Behind these panels there are written passages that are extremely personal. Each piece is done with watercolor on cold pressed watercolor paper.
